CDM Co-ordinator
The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations, commonly know as CDM, place duties on all those who can contribute to the health and safety of all operatives engaged on projects related to construction.
Under the CDM Regulations we offer CDM Co-ordination to assist our clients in their duties. With the assistance of the CDMC our clients will ensure that those he employs undertake their duties under the regulations and create a safe environment for those who come into contact with it, both during construction and upon completion.
CDM Co-ordinators are responsible for co-ordinating the health and safety aspects of designs and for providing the pre-tender Health and Safety plan as well as ensuring the Health and Safety file is produced.
The degree of detail, in addition to the time and effort needed to ensure compliance with the legal requirements are always proportionate to the nature, size and level of health and safety risks involved in the project.
The Party Wall Act
The Act makes provision in respect of party walls and any excavations of constructions which would be in close proximity to other buildings or structures and also connected purposes.
The Act provides owners with rights, but also obligations to other owners. The Act provides the approach to these rights and obligations and also sets out the method and resolution of disputes.
We can act as Party Wall Surveyors, advise and arrange to prepare and serve all notices, make any necessary appointments and arrange and agree matters and counter notices where necessary.
In all cases we act with due care and in a spirit of co-operation between parties, liasing with the respective owners and appointed surveyors to reach agreement.
