Environment
Trenton Consultants now has achieved accreditation under SAP 2005 and can provide SBEM service to design and check calculations under the new Part L requirements.
The aim of this facility is to provide a design service for customers who require calculations in support of a scheme and also to demonstrate compliance with the Building Regulations.
Access Consultancy
We have experience in access related issues, which precedes the introduction of the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA), as our Building Control function has been in the forefront of accessible and inclusive design from its inception within the Building Regulations.
Therefore we can offer an unrivalled depth of knowledge, understanding and be independent in approaching the objective of "reasonable" access for both new and existing buildings and for all users of the built environment.
Other areas within the construction industry we support are:
DDA briefing or training
To highlight key issues affecting your business
Access consultants
Sitting in on design team meetings in order to assist from inception of a project
Desktop audits
We can access a proposed project against the principles of the DDA and Part M of the Building Regulations
Access audits
Advice and guidance in meeting the practical requirements of the DDA, particularly with service providers
Access strategies/statements
Providing input and the drafting of statements to demonstrate compliance with the Building Regulations and strategy documents for building logbooks
Consulting services
Liasing with key groups on behalf of a client, such as the planning authority and local access groups
Expert witness service
We can provide support and advice in respect of a range of issues relating to access, should a dispute arise under the DDA, with the aim of resolving difficulties
