Warranty Link Rule

residentialFour warranty schemes have been approved by CLG for - NHBC's "Buildmark", Zurich's "Standard 10", BLP and Premier's "Guarantee for New Homes". All have met stringent conditions designed to ensure that new homeowners have protection in the event of a subsequent defect.

This arrangement ensures that a suitable new home warranty must be in place before we can agree to carry out the building control check. This is known as the "Warranty Link Rule". Customer choice will be increased by allowing developers and builders to select Butler & Young Residential to provide a building control service for new dwellings.

Butler & Young Residential have agreements in place with all 4 warranty providers, hereby giving you the largest possible range of options.

Quality Control

Please note that Building Regulations approval does not extend to quality control inspections or 'defect snagging'.

These arrangements also lift the restriction on "multi-use" developments where homes for sale or let form a part of the development.
